Ximena Morante

Conservation Projects Supervisor

I am a biologist and since I was young I have been interested in science and nature, specially in Botany. In 2013, while I was still in school I participated in the National Biology Olympics and won a silver medal, which then led me to participate in the Iberoamerican Olympics in Argentina. During my academic formation, I have been able to travel through Peru and experience beautiful landscapes, people and realities, which I consider has been key in my personal and professional development. I have also been part of several environmental volunteering experiences and social work. Currently, I am very happy to be part of an NGO with great values like EcoSwell. This opportunity has brought me to live in Lobitos, a beach district in the north of Peru that I have loved and enjoy every day. At EcoSwell I am the supervisor of Community Ecotourism, Reforestation and Ecosystem Restoration projects.
