EcoSwell Objectives
The dry forest is one of the most degraded forest ecosystems on earth. The dry forest of Peru is now almost completely deserted due to illegal logging. EcoSwell is changing the economy of the loggers of Quebrara Pariñas (including 5 communities) by turning them into ecotourism operators for their local dry forest and wetlands. This objective is complemented with the afforestation of barren areas.
