SDG Goal EcoSwell is pursuing
4.7 By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles.
SDG Indicator of success that EcoSwell is contributing to
4.7.1 Extent to which education for sustainable development, including gender equality and human rights, are mainstreamed at all levels in (a) national education policies; (b) curricula; (c) teacher education; and (d) student assessment.
EcoSwell Objectives
Promote education regarding the importance of conservation of the dry forest ecosystem in the school curricula and every household. EcoSwell has held several workshops with primary school children in the localities of Lobitos, Piedritas, Fernández, Síchez-Folchez, and Negritos.
Educate our volunteer interns through an immersive experience in applied sustainability in vulnerable communities, helping them develop professionally through the understanding of the challenges in the field.
