EcoSwell Objectives
Strengthen the participation of local communities and institutions in improving water and sanitation management by facilitating sustainable sanitation practices and technologies. Lobitos, Piedritas, and Negritos have critical issues regarding wastewater management and water scarcity.
EcoSwell has worked together with the local communities to reuse water through its neighbourhood greening initiatives whilst testing and communicating innovative solutions to the wastewater problems for the local governments to adopt them for escalation.
In addition, EcoSwell is piloting bioremediation solutions for the wastewater treatment plants of Piedritas and Negritos.
